Realistic Glass Painting

Workshop - Graphics | Available

This is a fun workshop for everyone who wants to learn how to paint realistic-looking glass objects.

Viktoria will explain and demonstrate step by step how to achieve the most convincing results. She will work with each student individually and give helpful tips throughout the class.

By the end of the workshop, every participant will be able to paint transparent glass objects. This is an all-level workshop, oil or acrylics.

Those who choose acrylics will also need to bring a slow-dry medium. Please, read the supply list below.

  • Each student can choose to bring and paint with oil paints OR acrylics in this workshop. If you never painted before or you are a beginner, oil paints are recommended.

I have a separate supply list below for either medium, whichever you choose. Canvases & palettes and objects to paint are the same for both.

    • 1 pcs of 8”x10” stretched canvas or canvas panel • 1 pcs of 11”x14” stretched canvas or canvas panel
student (economy) grade is fine • Wood palette any shape (no white paper or white plastic palette please) plexiglass or glass is ok with neutral color backing.
If your wooden palette is not varnished when purchased, make sure to varnish it with water based polyurethane or polycrylic, at least a few days before class, so it has time to dry. • One cardboard box, we'll use it as a shadow box (12” - 18” is big enough) • Glass objects (3-4 pieces) that fit in your box. • Any color cloth(s) to use under your objects

    • Bristle brushes or synthetic brushes made for oil painting
(Filbert of Flat #2, #4, #6) for example: Robert Simmons Signet, Master's Choice (Hobby Lobby), Rosemary, or Princeton are also good brands.
