Please take a moment to carefully review our registration and refund policies. We encourage you to register as early as possible to secure your spot in the class. Class sizes are limited, and some classes may fill several weeks in advance. Please be aware that registration often closes a week or more before the start date to allow time for procuring necessary materials and supplies.
Student Withdrawal Policy
If you need to withdraw from a class, please notify Sawtooth at least 14 days prior to the class start date. With sufficient notice, we can offer a refund or a credit minus a $20 processing fee.
If you withdraw less than 14 days before the class begins, your tuition will be forfeited. As a nonprofit with limited resources, we carefully plan classes, purchase supplies, and coordinate staffing based on registration numbers. Last-minute cancellations and transfers make it difficult to allocate resources effectively and can impact the experience for all students, which is why we must enforce these fees.
If your withdrawal is due to extenuating circumstances, you may contact the Director of the relevant studio, and they will review your case on an individual basis.
Sawtooth Cancellations
In the event that Sawtooth needs to cancel, combine, or reschedule a class for any reason, all registered participants will be notified by email as soon as possible. You will be offered the option to transfer to another class, receive full credit, or obtain a full refund. Please note, however, that we cannot be responsible for non-refundable travel or accommodation expenses.
Class Credits
Class credits are valid for up to one year from the original cancellation date and can be used for future class registrations or membership. Credits cannot be redeemed for cash. If you wish to transfer credits to another student, please notify Sawtooth by emailing registrar@sawtooth.org. The original expiration date will still apply to any transferred credits. You may also choose to donate your credits to Sawtooth.
Memberships
Memberships are non-refundable, as they are considered a donation to the school.
Camp Sawtooth registration policies
Camp Sawtooth 2025 cancellations or class transfers MUST occur before FRIDAY, MAY 23, 2025, and will incur a $20 processing fee. No refunds are available after this date. To withdraw from a class, contact our Registrar at registrar@sawtooth.org or 336-723-7395.
Transferring between Camp classes will incur a $20 fee if made on or before May 23, 2025, regardless of the reason. Transfers after this date will not be honored.
During Camp, classes may be canceled or combined based on enrollment, and instructors may change. Participants will be notified by email of any cancellations and credited accordingly.
Parents and guardians must review the Rules + Consequences with their children before Camp begins. Refunds will not be issued for disciplinary removals. See full guidelines at sawtooth.org/CampSawtooth
Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk
All students (or their parent/guardian) participating in any class, workshop, camp, or other Sawtooth program will be required to complete the revised Liability Waiver at the beginning of the first scheduled class. Students will receive an email prior to class beginning with the Liability Waiver to review and can either bring a signed copy or sign a blank Liability Waiver when they arrive for class. To review the Liability Waiver now, click here.
Please call 336-723-7395 if you have any concerns regarding class cancellations due to severe weather. It is Sawtooth’s policy to notify all students by email if a class is cancelled due to severe weather in addition to posting any weather-related closures on social media and to local media.
Photo Release
Sawtooth will occasionally document classes and student work using photography and video for promotional purposes only. If you do not wish to be photographed nor want your child to be photographed, please notify the school in writing.
