Students will learn about Illustrative Design, which is a method of hand-drawing designs for things like logos and artwork that is frequently used in advertising, textiles and other printed objects. We will discuss stylization, figure-ground relationships and layering techniques found in illustrative design examples. We will review art elements and principles.
