Intermediate Woodturning
Class - Wood | Registration opens 8/11/2026 9:00 AM EDT
Build upon your basic skills and take your wood turning to the next level. Whether you are looking for more guided time at the lathe or hoping to challenge yourself with complex projects such as live edge bowls or embellished platters, this course offers you a chance to build your skills and confidence in woodturning. Sawtooth's Introduction to Woodturning course is a prerequisite. Please contact the director at wood@sawtooth.org if you have not taken our intro course but have equivalent experience.
Additional Information:
- A $50 materials fee will be added to the total class fee at checkout.
- Registration will close one week prior to the start of class.
- Enrollment is open to students ages18 and up.
Ed Siegel
Ed Siegel has been a woodturner for over forty years and creates most of his work from “found” local woods. Originally from New York State, Ed and his wife recently relocated to Greensboro. Ed enjoys demonstrating and teaching woodturning, and has won numerous awards, including several blue ribbons, for turning and carving at the Great New York State fair.
