In this 4 week acrylic painting class we will learn about the techniques that Paul Cezanne uses in his many whimsical landscapes and study his use of color/brushstrokes to create a light and airy radiance in the trees and mountains. We will all view the same pieces for inspiration and create one piece with our unique perspective. All supplies included. Ages 14 and up.

Bryn Lenkaitis Childers

Bryn Lenkaitis is a Pennsylvania native who fell in love with the people and places of North Carolina and decided to make it home about 4 years ago. She has a BA in Art History and Studio Art from IUP where she was given the opportunity to study in both Croatia and Spain – most memorable being her experience backpacking the El Camino de Santiago across Northern Spain.

When she’s not working as a Philanthropic Project Specialist aiding in the fundraising efforts for Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, Bryn creates art mainly in acrylics and oils but also experiments with ink and mixed media. Her artwork explores the use of bold color and texture to bring to life both the beautiful adventures and day-to-day places she inhabits. In doing so, she can put down roots in the rich soil of each new community she finds herself in and preserve the transient landscapes along the way that bring her immense joy.
