Advanced Pen Turning
Workshop - Wood | Registration opens 8/11/2026 9:00 AM EDT
The advance pen class is a continuation of the beginning pen turning class. Students will start with a basic slimline pen to brush up on skills. Then, we will have a discussion on the different types of pens to increase your skill levels, working on a variety of different pens like a Gatsby, Duraclick EDC types of click pen, a Dragon Twist pen, and Vertex Magnetic rollerball pen. ?
Additional Information:
- A material fee of $90 will be added at check out. This fee includes enough materials for each student to make five pens.
- Registration will close one week prior to the start of class.
- Enrollment is open to students ages 18 and up.
Mike Loebenberg
Mike Loebenberg is a retired physician with over 20 years of experience in woodturning and woodworking. He enjoys turning bowls, pens, peppermills and hollow forms, as well as furniture projects like tables, bookcases and more. He is married with 3 grown children and five grand children, and has lived in Winston-Salem for several years.
