Intermediate: Natural Edge Bowl

Take on a turning challenge: Turning a bowl while keeping the live edges intact for a beautiful and rustic finished product. Learn and practice safe techniques to turn while working around the rim of the workpiece for a truly unique finished product. Some turning experience required, preferably a previous bowl turning class.
Additional Information:
- A $25 materials fee will be added to the total at checkout.
- Registration will close one week prior to the start of class.
- This class is open to students ages 18 and up.
- Class will take a lunch break around mid day. Students are encouraged to either pack a lunch or plan to visit one of the convenient eateries on nearby 4th Street.
Brian Guhman
Brian Guhman was born and raised on Long Island, NY. He moved to North Carolina after college in 1994. He has worked in the custom millwork industry for 25 years, and has been woodturning for 12 years. He started making cremation urns 10 years ago and no two are the same. Brian loves working with wood and the unexpected surprise of cutting into logs. The logs are sourced from local tree services destined for the landfill. You can find his work on his Etsy shop.
