Mixed Media Decoupage Bud Vases

Everybody loves little bud vases especially when the flowers are in full bloom! In this workshop we will use all sorts of materials/tools to create small vibrant vases. Materials can range from tissue paper to actual photos, or drawings/newsprint, paint or sting/fabrics. Feel free to bring a poem already written, lyrics to a songs, scripture or a quote from a book. If you would like to bring a specific vase or jar, you may do so. All supplies provided. Ages 10 and up.
Bryn Lenkaitis Childers
Bryn Lenkaitis is a Pennsylvania native who fell in love with the people and places of North Carolina and decided to make it home about 4 years ago. She has a BA in Art History and Studio Art from IUP where she was given the opportunity to study in both Croatia and Spain – most memorable being her experience backpacking the El Camino de Santiago across Northern Spain.
When she’s not working as a Philanthropic Project Specialist aiding in the fundraising efforts for Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, Bryn creates art mainly in acrylics and oils but also experiments with ink and mixed media. Her artwork explores the use of bold color and texture to bring to life both the beautiful adventures and day-to-day places she inhabits. In doing so, she can put down roots in the rich soil of each new community she finds herself in and preserve the transient landscapes along the way that bring her immense joy.
