Prerequisite Minimalist Metals: Soldering Basics with a Butane Torch.

In this continuation class students will take their metalsmithing skills a step further by designing and creating a complete pair of beaded wire earrings from start to finish. You'll begin by sketching and forming your own wire frame shape, solder it closed, then select gemstone beads from a curated color palette to personalize your design. Students will learn two ways to incorporate beads. Wire wrapping directly onto the frame or creating drop dangles then finish the piece by fabricating their own ear wires. You'll leave with a completed wearable pair of earrings that is uniquely yours.

What you'll learn: Wire frame design, soldering, bead selection, wire wrapping, drop dangle technique, ear wire fabrication

All supplies included.  Ages 14 and up.
