Carol Poppo

I’ve been creating stained glass since 1982, learning the craft and working side by side with my father. Together, our family owned and operated two stained glass studios where we taught classes, mentored students, created custom panels, and completed repair work throughout South Florida.

We taught at Homestead Air Force Base, MiamiDade Community College, in our retail studios, and through private instruction. Courses ranged from beginner fundamentals to advanced techniques, including lamps, boxes, decorative soldering, and technique-focused workshops.

Over the years, our work has included notable custom pieces for Don Strock of the Miami Dolphins, as well as stained glass gifts created for the seven stars of the Miami Vice television series. I also take special pride in designing two original three-dimensional stained glass trophies for a Ladies Professional Racquetball tournament in South Carolina, created as part of a benefit supporting ovarian cancer awareness.

I specialize in the copper foil method and have worked continuously with stained glass for more than four decades. Teaching and creating stained glass isn’t just what I do it's a lifelong passion, grounded in craftsmanship, technique, and thoughtful design.
