This workshop meets Friday, 9AM-4PM and Saturday, 9AM-1PM.
Capture a free-spirited aesthetic by blending the ancient glow of bronze with vibrant hand-dyed silk.
In this two-session creative immersion, you’ll explore the artistic versatility of Project X Bronze Clay to craft a one-of-a-kind statement piece. Friday is all about the "deep dive"—literally. You will select your favorite Project X Hot Roller from a curated collection of patterns to press ultra-deep, architectural textures into the clay, creating a landscape of metal designed to hold brilliant color. You’ll learn how to professionally engineer your piece by securing backside connectors, followed by drying and refining your "greenware" to perfection.
After an overnight kiln firing, we return Saturday to bring your vision to life. Polish your bronze to a sun-kissed luster, inlay radiant UV resins into your textures, and finish the look by wrapping your focal piece with luxurious, colorful Sari Silk ribbons for a soft, bohemian finish.
What you will learn:
- Textural Expression: How to use Project X Hot Rollers to achieve maximum depth and crisp detail.
- Component Engineering: Techniques for securely attaching clay connectors for a high-end, durable finish.
- Refining Skills: The "dry-stage" secrets to sanding and smoothing clay for a flawless post-fire look.
- Metal Finishing: Polishing techniques to transform raw bronze into a bright, golden-hued treasure.
- Mixed Media Mastery: Precision UV resin application and artistic Sari Silk wrapping and knotting.
This class is the ultimate experience for those who want to bridge the gap between technical metalwork and intuitive, tactile art. You’ll leave not only with a custom designer bracelet but also with the confidence to mix industrial metal clay with soft, organic fibers in your future jewelry projects.
Level: No prior experience is necessary—this workshop is designed to welcome beginners and inspire seasoned makers.
