Join us for an immersive one-day workshop exploring the art of low key lighting in fashion photography. Designed for photographers who want to elevate their visual storytelling, this class focuses on using controlled light and shadow to create bold, cinematic, and emotionally charged fashion images.
Through demonstrations and hands-on shooting, you’ll learn how to sculpt light to highlight texture, shape, and mood—turning garments, poses, and expressions into striking visual statements. We’ll work with professional lighting equipment, styled models, and curated sets, giving you the opportunity to build a series of dramatic images worthy of your portfolio.

C. Stephen Hurst
C. Stephen Hurst recently moved to Winston-Salem from New York City where he spent many years as a professional photographer and instructor at the International School of Photography. Hurst is a self-taught photographer who emphasizes connection, anticipation, and communication through his process; some of Hurst’s photography clients have included the Disney Family Foundation, Nike, and Columbia Business School.
