Make Your Own Book | Ages 9-13

In this class we will learn the process of making and illustrating a book from start to finish! I will bring in examples from my own work with books for the students to use as inspiration for their process. We will work from thumbnails and rough sketches all the way to completed illustration. Everyone will take home their own completed book!

BEFORE CLASS: Please complete the Liability Form + Emergency Info Form and bring it to class or complete it online HERE. We will have forms available in the classroom.
WHAT TO WEAR: Art gets messy, so wear clothing suitable for an artist! It gets chilly in the studios, so you may want another layer.
WHAT TO BRING:
Sawtooth will provide all materials and supplies needed for class, but students are welcome to bring in their own if they prefer.
Students are welcome to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated and a snack to be eaten during a break.
Please avoid any food with peanuts or tree nuts.
DURING CLASS: We love having parents and guardians visit our building, but we kindly request that you refrain from staying in the classroom with your children during their class. We have noticed that this can sometimes hinder the creative process. However, if you are attending a specific child/adult class, please feel free to join the fun!
