Looking to improve your drawing skills? Come learn how to draw from life as we explore the realism art movement - and our own creativity! In this four-week class, students will learn the foundations of drawing from life, including value, mark-making, and visual measurement. Using graphite and charcoal, we will create still lifes, figure drawings, architectural sketches, and more. Through games, art challenges, and multi-week projects, students can practice their drawing skills and go home with several finished pieces of artwork!
Sarah Booze
Born and raised in the foothills of North Carolina, Sarah Katherine Booze has been drawing and painting since the age of 12 but started her professional art career in 2017. A self-taught artist, Sarah always found herself drawn to the beauty and wonder of the natural landscapes of the world and began to paint the places around her. Her paintings are inspired by her home in North Carolina, as well as the many places she travels.
Through color, brushwork, and composition, her art illustrates the tranquility and allure of nature. The landscapes she paints possess a quiet simplicity which invites the viewer to dive in and sit for a while.
