Ever wanted to create your very own manga? In this six-week class, we will learn all about making Japanese-inspired comics as we bring our stories to life. Students will practice the process of creating a comic from start to finish and learn to use screen tones, inking, storyboarding, paneling, character design, drawing backgrounds, sound effects and even more!
Sarah Booze
Born and raised in the foothills of North Carolina, Sarah Katherine Booze has been drawing and painting since the age of 12 but started her professional art career in 2017. A self-taught artist, Sarah always found herself drawn to the beauty and wonder of the natural landscapes of the world and began to paint the places around her. Her paintings are inspired by her home in North Carolina, as well as the many places she travels.
Through color, brushwork, and composition, her art illustrates the tranquility and allure of nature. The landscapes she paints possess a quiet simplicity which invites the viewer to dive in and sit for a while.
