Explore another facet of woodworking in this class that combines fine craftsmanship with practical bushcraft. Learn to make a hunting bow, both a functional tool and a work of art. Beginning with a stave of Osage, a traditional wood for bowmaking, you'll work with the bare minimum of hand tools to craft a primitive weapon. This bow making course will take you from material selection to tool use and get you working in tune with the wood itself to create a supple, elegant bow of your very own. All skill levels are welcome, but bow making or carving experience will be helpful.

- A $20 materials fee will be added to the total class fee at checkout.
- Registration will close one week prior to the start of class.
- Enrollment is open to students ages 14 and up.
Dane Snodgrass
Dane Snodgrass is recently retired and trying to live up to expectations. He is an acclaimed master bowyer having made over 1000 bows over the last 60 years. Dane prefers working with hand tools and traditional designs. He draws most inspiration from our North American 1st Nation and leans toward bows of the Northern Plains. Dane grew up in South Dakota.
