9060. Hexagonal Lanterns

Class - Wood | Registration opens 2/10/2026 9:00 AM EST

Explore new angles at the table saw to create a hexagonal lantern. The class will learn to use the table saw to rip angled stock and make cross cuts to allow light through the gaps in the form. Students will use jigs and gauges to cut angles with precision, and leave class with a pair of completed lanterns. Prior woodworking experience is recommended.

Additional Information:

  • A material fee of $30 will be added at registration.
  • Registration will close one week prior to the start of class.
  • Enrollment is open to students 18+

Kirk Fry

Kirk Fry is a graphic designer, illustrator and maker of uniquely artistic guitars. Originally from Wheeling, WV, he has always enjoyed drawing, painting, carving and making things with his hands while also working by occupation in the digital world.
