Quick and Easy French Randing

Art + Wellness | Registration opens 2/10/2026 9:00 AM EST

French Randing is a diagonal, over-one/under-one weaving technique for baskets, ideal for using short, scrap pieces of reed. Each stake gets a weaver, creating a, diagonal, textured look. Weavers start behind stakes, angled right, and move around, with each row reversing the previous, allowing for flexible, decorative, or open-work designs.

This quick and easy basket will teach you how to weave start and stop rows and learn the technique of French Randing in the middle of the basket.  Several color options will be available for you to choose from.  All supplies included.  Ages 14 and up.  Instructor will break for lunch.
