Use Your Sketchbook Workshop
Workshop - Graphics | Available
Explore the value and types of keeping a sketchbook in today's world. An introduction to how to use, care for, and work inside and outside of a sketchbook. Start with different types of sketchbooks and how other artists utilize them—approaching “the sketchbook”.
Learn how to use a sketchbook for drawing from life, sketching, and making notes for projects. We will discuss common pitfalls and anxieties—and how to work effectively from a sketchbook. The workshop will also cover the sketchbook as an art piece on its own and as part of the creative process. I’ll share examples from my own sketchbooks and explain how I’ve incorporated them into my work.
Bring your sketchbook and favorite mediums (pencils, colored pencils, watercolor, etc)!
