Subtractive Method Monotype Workshop
Workshop - Printmaking | Available
Learn monotype printmaking with high contrast and strong darks using a water-soluble ink. You’ll combine drawing and painting to create a dynamic print each session. Work reductively and/ or additively to create a striking monochromatic composition. The Workshop will follow a set of examples, the reductive and additive methods, as well as impressions.
Dark field monotypes can be anything from a powerful and atmospheric style to a straightforward and graphic presentation. For this workshop, we’ll be working on plexiglass as a base, rather than cutting or incising the plate. We’ll be manipulating the ink with both the tools of the artist and everyday items.
