Taste of Art XL: Drawing: Variety in Markmaking

This class will explore the diversity of potential markmaking techniques and how the potential variations can develop visually unique, expressive, and stylized images. Day one of this class will be an introduction to markmaking variations and the development of a visual bank of ideas and combinations that are non-representational. Day two will be the culmination and combination of these motifs to create an expressive final image.
Class is Friday 6 - 8:00 PM and Sunday 10 AM - 3:30 PM
Adia Carter
Adia Carter has had a lifelong passion for drawing and studied studio art at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She feels that open discussion and the introduction of true and scientific information about race can be the gateway to a more accepting society—especially when dialogue about it is encouraged in the young.
