Learn the art of shell forming while creating a beautiful Calla Lily pendant. This class is a great introduction for beginners who want to explore metal fabrication, as well as for more advanced students interested in expanding their skills with new forming techniques. Students will learn how to shape, texture, and form metal to create an elegant pendant inspired by the graceful curves of the Calla Lily. By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a finished piece of jewelry and a solid foundation in shell forming techniques that you can apply to future projects.
This workshop is open to ages 16 and up. $10 supply fee is payable at registration and includes everything you need.
Sarah Harvell
Sarah was born and raised in the Appalachian Mountains of Floyd, Virginia and now resides in Winston-Salem, NC. She earned her BFA from Radford University in 2013 where she majored in Jewelry and Metalsmithing with an emphasis in fabrication and lost wax casting. In 2016 she received her MFA in Metal Design from East Carolina University with a focus on shell forming and color on metal. In 2018, she launched Ravena Metalworks – a collection of one-of-a-kind, limited edition jewelry and small sculpture.
