Workshop - Wood | Available
Weave a small ribbed basket traditionally used for gathering eggs. We will weave this Appalachian-style basket using willow and invasive vines. Students will be able to play with color, texture, and form using a variety of materials and techniques. This style of basketry will introduce you to shaping using willow ribs. We will discuss harvesting ethics and how to find materials on your own. Some basketry experience is helpful, but not necessary.
