Writing for Our Lives: A Grief Writing Workshop

If you are experiencing a loss, you know how isolating and lonely grief can feel. Social support facilitates healthy grieving and encourages shifts in perspective.  Writing for Our Lives is open to anyone grieving the loss of a loved one or experiencing major life stressor or transitions.

Writing about deep matters is good for your health – physically, mentally, and spiritually. Reflective writing actually lowers pulse and blood pressure, increases t-cell production, and boosts your immune systems.

Writing can help you cope. It can create order out of chaos and is an antidote to emotional stress. Healing happens. We write differently than we think. We go deeper, below the constant chatter. Writing offers a bridge between your unconscious and conscious.

Join us and take time to remember, to get your thoughts down, to reflect through writing, and to share with others. We will use prompts and invitations to tap into your creative expression and begin to gently explore feelings that silence or limit you, so that you may move forward freely. No writing experience necessary!

Scholarships are available.  All supplies included.  Ages 14 and up.
