Learn to create a set of beautiful silver stacking rings in this beginner's jewelry making workshop. Sarah will introduce you to the jeweler's studio and some basic jewelry fabrication tools. Then she'll show you how to use solid sterling silver wire to create a set of stacking rings. Learn to saw, hammer, file, solder and finish silver while you make wearable rings. This workshop is open to ages 16 and up. $10 supply fee is payable at registration and includes everything you need, including silver wire!
Sarah Harvell
Sarah was born and raised in the Appalachian Mountains of Floyd, Virginia and now resides in Winston-Salem, NC. She earned her BFA from Radford University in 2013 where she majored in Jewelry and Metalsmithing with an emphasis in fabrication and lost wax casting. In 2016 she received her MFA in Metal Design from East Carolina University with a focus on shell forming and color on metal. In 2018, she launched Ravena Metalworks – a collection of one-of-a-kind, limited edition jewelry and small sculpture.
