Improve your skills and expand your creativity in this class for those who are proficient in basic handbuilding techniques. Experienced students may propose independent projects suited to their interests. Ages: 16 - Adult

A $30 material fee for the first 25 pounds of stoneware clay and related glazing and firing will be added at time of checkout.

  • This class meets a total of 9 times. There will be no class on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27th, and the last class is on 6/10.

    Students enrolled in ceramics classes may come in for additional open studio hours for the duration of their class.
  • A $30 material fee for the first 25 pounds of stoneware clay and related glazing and firing will be added at time of checkout. Porcelain clay excluded.

    For the first day of class, you will need the following:
    • 1 old towel and/or apron
    • 1-3 brushes (small or medium in size)
    • 1 pottery tool kit (available for purchase on the first day of class for $20)
Moyer, Warren

Warren received his BS degree in art education from Kutztown University and his MFA in ceramics from Ohio University. Upon completing grad school, he assumed the position of director of the ceramic program at Sawtooth in 1989. As a member of Piedmont Craftsmen, his primary focus is handbuilt vessels which he creates in his home studio.
