Camp - Youth | This class is completed

Unleash your creativity with a unique art experience that incorporates the beauty of nature. Imagine creating stunning artwork using flowers, rocks, bugs, and leaves that you have gathered from your surroundings. This fun and interactive class will allow you to explore the different textures, colors, and shapes found in nature, as you learn about the importance of conserving our natural environment.

You will have the opportunity to express yourself through drawing, painting, and collage, while gaining a deeper appreciation for the world around you. So, join us for a nature-inspired art adventure that is both educational and enjoyable!

    WATER We recommend bringing a refillable water bottle from home. Creating art makes you thirsty!

    SNACK Students are welcome to bring a sn    ack to be eaten during our daily break times. Health + Food Allergy Notice: For the safety of others, students cannot share food. We ask for parents and guardians to be mindful of other children who may have potentially life-threatening allergies. To reduce this risk, please do not bring foods with peanuts and tree nuts.

    LUNCH If your child is attending both AM and PM camps, they will be supervised during a lunch and break period. Students must bring their lunch from home. This option is available only to students attending AM and PM camps in a week.

    ART SUPPLIES Sawtooth will provide all materials and supplies needed for camp. They may be asked to bring certain recycled materials from home, but this is not a requirement. 
Morales, Laura
Laura Morales

Laura Morales creates illustrative images of animals, plants, landscapes, etc. She designs her own art, as well as commissions work. She travels for art shows and galleries on the east coast displaying and selling her work.

Laura developed most of these pieces using an application of an ink drawing with a watercolor finish. She used the ink outline to create the image and the watercolor to define the form. The drawing portion allows the image to be seen clearly while the color gives life to the form.

During the creating process of this body of work, Laura recalled specific instances when She had been impacted by someone. Some pieces are a reflection of her personal story while several others have been inspired by children’s books that focus on character development.
