116. A. Intro to Digital Comics (14-Adult)

In this 3-week in person class students will learn how to create unique and engaging short narrative comics (one to two pages) using either a laptop/desktop, pen and paper, or a tablet such as an IPAD (with apple pencil). If taking this class with a computer or tablet students will learn to use Adobe Photoshop to develop a simple story idea and then make a colored, multi-paneled comic. If student does not have access to Adobe Photoshop, Sawtooth School will provide free access to the program for three months. (Ages: 14 to Adult)
Required skills: basic drawing skills and/or general familiarity with computers.
Class meets three consecutive Mondays.
One of the following devices are required to take this class.
1. Pen and Paper OR
2. An Ipad OR
3. A laptop/desktop computer.
- Either a Laptop or, a Tablet with a drawing pencil, or a pad and pencil.
Sydni Bibb
Sydni Bibb graduated from Marshall University with a BA in art education and has taught in NC public schools for six years while building her art portfolio and, working as a part time photographer and videographer. Her art influences and inspiration are a mixed media cross section of digital illustration, photography, and video. She believes art is powerful vehicle for individuals and societies alike to tell their stories storytelling and record fleeting memories.
