Come paint your favorite animal, cartoon character, or food as we learn about elements of art and have fun with acrylic paints! We will make stencils, use repurposed materials, and explore our creativity through painting.

Learn about elements of art such as color, line, and shape while exploring creative expression. Students will create several paintings throughout the course and will be able to choose their own subject matter in addition to teacher-led painting demos.

Booze, Sarah

Born and raised in the foothills of North Carolina, Sarah Katherine Booze has been drawing and painting since the age of 12 but started her professional art career in 2017. A self-taught artist, Sarah always found herself drawn to the beauty and wonder of the natural landscapes of the world and began to paint the places around her. Her paintings are inspired by her home in North Carolina, as well as the many places she travels. 

Through color, brushwork, and composition, her art illustrates the tranquility and allure of nature. The landscapes she paints possess a quiet simplicity which invites the viewer to dive in and sit for a while.
