Polar bears & penguins, oh my! Create winter inspired creatures together to either display or play with in this fun youth + adult 1-day workshop! During this 3-hour workshop, teaching artist and wool wizard Vickie Clontz will be sharing the magic of using wool as an art material. You will learn needle felting using colorful fibers and a special needle tool over a styrofoam base for your winter creatures. Each student will create 2 needle-felted animals!

  • A material fee of $12 is due upon registration. Class size is limited to 8 students. No prior experience is necessary. Enrollment is limited to students between the ages of 8 and up with an adult. Students, both youth and adult, please register separately. Masking and social distancing is required in all Sawtooth classes.

Vickie Clontz is an award-winning textile artist celebrating 31 years of business with her unique pattern company Annie’s Keepsakes! Vickie has published over 100 patterns for quilts, home décor, sewing and wearable art, and just finished writing her 4th book for Leisure Arts. Her one-of-a-kind projects have appeared in 60+ magazines and books across the US and abroad. Vickie began sewing when she was 5 years old and developed a passion for textiles all through school, earning a Bachelor of Science in Clothing Design in college. She has continued her love of fiber art, sewing and dyeing by sharing her skills and expertise through teaching classes and workshops at shows, shops and for guilds across the US as well as in France.
