Come weave two market baskets with handles. The market basket makes the perfect utilitarian tote for the farmer’s market, family picnic or ballgame. This rectangular basket makes a lovely countertop organizer or a grab and go container for all sorts of things. Learn how to weave an open weave bottom and a closed weave bottom, covering techniques like “Chicken feet” and “Start and stop” on the sides of a basket and “Cut and tuck” finishing. Different colors of reed will be available to weave in accents and focal points, and to add your own unique design.

Materials will range in cost from $70 - $80, to be purchased from the instructor.
