*Rising 9th through 12th grades* Explore fused and stained glass techniques in this unique class. Create beautiful designs using pieces of colored (stained) glass and copper foil or lead cane. Learn the basics of cutting and grinding glass and the intricacies of effective design and the use of color. You’ll also learn how to distinguish different types of glass, composition and arrangement of fused glass into functional and decorative items in the kiln. Materials fee included in class price.

Pettinati-Longinotti, Betti

Betti Pettinati-Longinotti works in drawing, painting and glass- fused, mosaic and stained glass. She received a BFA from the Maryland Institute, College of Art and her MA from the University of the Arts/ Philadelphia, in Art Education with a studio major in Glass. She graduated, June 2012 with an MFA in Visual Arts through the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University. Her work has been shown internationally. Betti is a juried member of Artworks Gallery and Piedmont Craftsmen, and also holds membership in the American Glass Guild.
