Discover the joy of reading Shakespeare aloud in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. We will cover King Lear during the eight-week session. Class members will read the different parts and participate in lively discussion. Video clips of various productions of the play will be shown. No memorizing or acting experience required— just a love of Shakespeare. Bring a copy of King Lear to the first class.

Moderators: Bill Park has had a lifelong passion for the works of Shakespeare. He has a doctorate in counseling from UC. His career has included experience in public education, university teaching, and psychotherapy. With a stint at the Library of Congress and as a former English teacher, Judy Murray has developed a keen enthusiasm for Shakespeare's plays and poetry.
