3003 Mill Creek: From "Most Endangered Urban River" to Urban Oasis

The presentation will trace Mill Creek's history and the factors that led to it being named "the most endangered urban river in North America" in 1997. We will then trace the work of Mill Creek Alliance and many partners to restore the stream, its amazing recovery, and what it can become for our watershed communities moving forward.
Moderator: Dave Schmitt has been Executive Director of the Mill Creek Alliance since 2017.He earned a BS in Biology (Marietta College), MS in Forestry (Univ. of Maine), and JD from UC College of Law. He has served on the Board of American Rivers and other environmental nonprofits. He is also chair of the City of Cincinnati's Environmental Advisory Board.
