2900 Mike Nesmith: Much More Than a Monkee
One-time in-Person | Registration opens 8/1/26 10:00 AM
Mike Nesmith is known by most as the wool-hat wearing guitar player of the "Prefab Four," but he lived a multi-faceted life both before and after the Monkees made their splash in the mid-1960s. Come along and "travel to the beat of the different drum" of this pioneer in music, film, TV, and literature over the past 60 years.
Moderator: Dan Brady was a pre-teen in the mid-1960s—the perfect target audience for the Monkees. A fan of the slapstick antics of Micky Dolenz back then, with time he came to appreciate the more cerebral humor and philosophy of Mike Nesmith. He has previously given OLLI talks on Jeopardy and "The B-17 in the Beanfield."
