Three sessions will cover events in the 1920's leading up to the start of The Great Depression, including ominous parallels between the 1920's and the 2020's. We will discuss political and economic conditions during the 1920’s, 1930's and the early years of WW II with detailed examination of the lives of a diverse group of Americans who lived during this tumultuous period of American life. There will be a discussion of lessons learned with questions and comments solicited.

Moderator: Ed Linz, a 1965 graduate of the Naval Academy is the author of nine books, including a novel, works on the Great Depression and the Vietnam War, and most recently, four children’s books. He holds advanced degrees from Oxford University and George Mason University and lives in Maine and Virginia. He was the recipient of a heart transplant in 1994.
