Historical/adventure fiction, supernatural horror, psychological thriller… We will read four novels: ‘Salem's Lot and Misery by Stephen King; and Flashman in the Great Game and Flashman and the Mountain of Light by George MacDonald Fraser—thus, two weeks for each novel. These are fairly long but so well-written that the reading is easier.

Moderator: John Briggs has taught numerous (and sometimes strange) courses—often with survivors. He believes the courses are for enjoyment. Come always, come occasionally, show yourself, stay out of view, talk a lot, or stay silent. But above all, enjoy yourself! No pressure to talk, and disagreement is very welcome.
