MUST ATTEND FIRST 3 SESSIONS! Absolute beginners will learn the basic board setup as well as the terminology, rules, and strategy of backgammon, preparing you for playing with friends and family. If you have a game board at home or if you know someone who has a board but not using it, bring it with you to this class. By the end of this six-week course, you will be playing this wonderful game with knowledge and confidence.

Moderators: Dave Dargis plays backgammon every Wednesday with a friend. He also plays occasionally online. He is a good player who can teach all aspects of the game, including the basic board setup, rules, and strategy. Melody Dargis has also co-moderated OLLI courses on tarot and divination.
