Let's look to weaknesses in the American political system. We'll compare political systems in other countries to learn how our system could be improved. We will look at other American systems that have problems, such as healthcare, criminal justice, corrections, and economics, finding out how other countries handle some of these issues and what we can learn from them. Come to class prepared to share your ideas of how our systems could be improved. This is a revised version of a class that was offered last year.

Moderator: David Robertson extensively follows international news and speaks three foreign languages. He had the chance to live abroad (in West Germany) in the 1970s, so he gained some insight into how systems work in other countries. He has also done extensive internet research on the topic.
