Did the nativity scene happen? Did Jesus walk on water? Biblical scholars disagree about what events in the gospels are probably historical—that probably happened—which are questionable, and which probably did not happen. This topic should make for some stimulating discussion.

Moderator: Tom Backer has a PhD in History from UC and is retired from teaching, mainly at Covington Latin. He has been part of several Bible study groups, one led by the co-moderator, Stan Heck, who is a retired psychologist but is still active reporting on research in the field.
