1102 **Knitting for Newbies: Design and Knit a Hat
Multi-week in-person | Registration opens 8/18/26 10:00 AM
This hands-on course will cover the essentials to create a hat that is unique to you. In the six sessions, you will learn to cast-on, knit, purl, increase, decrease, bind-off, and invisibly seam. If time allows, there may be some advanced techniques included. Supply kits of needles and yarn will be available for a minimal charge.
Moderator: Wyn Jones was taught to knit by her fifth-grade English teacher over 50 years ago. She has taught basic knitting and advance technique classes at many venues (retail stores, recreation centers, libraries, and historical re-enactments). Between items for personal use and commissioned projects, she has made socks, sweaters, shawls, rugs, lampshades, and Halloween masks. Anything can be knit!
