One-time in-Person | Available
We will explore the roles women have played in landscape and garden design beginning with the earliest garden clubs, the Women’s Land Army, and take a deep dive into some of the nation’s most influential and often overlooked designers such as Ellen Shipman, Beatrix Farrand, and Marian Cruger Coffin. We will also discuss contemporary female designers and explore ways to incorporate their genius into our own landscapes and gardens.
Moderator: Jenifer Smith is an award-winning garden designer with Wimberg Landscaping. She is a frequent speaker on topics such as garden design, planting for pollinators, the role volunteers play in gardens, and the history of gardens and design.
