Join us for Spice of Life: A Global Spice Odyssey, an inviting exploration of global cuisines and cooking traditions. This session includes cuisines frequently requested by past participants along with fresh perspectives and new destinations. We’ll travel from the Philippines to the Middle East, Ethiopia, Spain, Scandinavia, Southern Italy, Indigenous North American foodways, and the Jewish diaspora. Each class highlights key ingredients, spices, and flavor techniques, featuring a spice or seasoning and practical ideas for home cooking. No cooking experience required, just curiosity and a love of good food.
Moderator: Sharon Schwartz is a retired social worker. She is a lifetime lover of learning and curious about everything. Other loves are cooking, reading, and genealogical research.
