This program will identify and discuss the major domestic and international challenges that China faces today and examine how they affect the country's evolving role as a major player in world affairs, with a particular focus on China's relationship with the United States.
Moderator: Thomas Moore is a political scientist focusing on East Asia (with emphasis on China), the politics of international economic affairs, and US-China relations. He has been a professor in the UC School of Public and International Affairs since 1995. He received his PhD in Politics at Princeton Univ. and is the author of China in the World Market.
