One-time in-Person | Registration opens 1/6/26 10:00 AM
2026 marks a century of national commemorations of Black history. It also commemorates the 250th anniversary of US independence. This class explores the scholarship of founders of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH). We will discuss African American historical milestones including Juneteenth, historical scholars and visionaries, and the essential social relevance of Black history. Learn how ASALH, established in 1915, continues to shape Black History Month into an even more deeply-rooted American institution, ensuring American history tells an inclusive and accurate story.
