Rick and Kathy Takanen continue their adventures with Road Scholar. Starting with visits to the Alamo, Riverwalk, and San Fernando Cathedral, the trip heads west stopping in Uvalde and the Amistad National Recreation Area, continuing on to the Chihuahuan Desert, the McDonald Observatory, and the Museum of the Big Bend at Sul Ross University. Finally, they spend two days stopping at scenic locations within Big Bend National Park, including dipping their toes in the Rio Grande before returning with memories of great art, scenery and barbeque in this southwest wonderland.
