1135 Harvesting Your Life: From Memory to Legacy

multi-week ZOOM | Registration opens 1/6/26 10:00 AM

This five-week course invites you to reflect on how family, education, faith formation, resilience, and community have shaped my life and yours as well, using my memoir “Harvestings: Finding the Forces That Shaped My Life” as a guide. Sessions blend readings from the book, discussions, and activities that uncover meaning in your own experiences. We will explore how memories form identity, challenges build strength, and our stories become meaningful legacies. Out-of-class reading of Harvestings is encouraged but not required. You will leave with deeper insight into your journeys and tools for sharing them with others.

Moderator: Earl James, an Anderson Univ. graduate, has decades of experience in leadership, organizational development, and adult education. He has designed and led workshops and cohorts for community organizations, nonprofits, and churches focusing on reflection, resilience, life formation, and community transformation. Since retiring in 2020, he has applied these same methods to his memoir, which is foundational for this course.
