9040 Harriet Beecher Stowe House Tour
Field Trip | Registration opens 8/26/25 10:00 AM
This house bears witness to generations joining their voices for truth in the nation's struggle toward freedom and humanity for all. We will experience the house as it was in two time periods 100 years apart. 1840: when abolitionist author Harriet Beecher Stowe lived in Cincinnati as a young woman preparing to write the blockbuster antislavery novel Uncle Tom's Cabin. 1940: when it was the Edgemont Inn, a boarding house and tavern listed in the Green Book. This tour includes stairs to the second floor; first floor is accessible. Location: 2950 Gilbert Ave, 45206
