3048 Making of Star Wars: Episode I (or IV?)
One-time in-Person | Registration opens 8/26/25 10:00 AM
This first of a series will look at the history behind one of the defining movies of a generation: George Lucas’s “Star Wars.” We will explore the influences from Flash Gordon to Akira Kurosawa and how the making of the film changed how movies were made.
Moderator: Jeff Suess is a local author and historian. In his misspent youth, he co-wrote a Star Wars parody musical that was produced by MIT and was featured in the documentary Jedi Jr. High. Some people say he even looks like George Lucas.
