One-time in-Person | Registration opens 8/26/25 10:00 AM

Learn or get a refresher history about the space age and space race of the 1960s, one of the most exciting periods of our nation’s history. In addition to highlights of the numerous Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo Projects, we will cover how minor and major setbacks affected the astronaut crews and several astronauts' place in space exploration history. The program concludes with the Eagle landing on the Moon. The Soviet Union’s drive to win the space race will also be covered.

Moderator: Gary Crouch is a former USAF officer who's had a long-time interest in space exploration. He’s made numerous visits to the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force over the past 40 years and visited the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum as well as other aviation and space museums and talks. He was a volunteer at the National Aviation Hall of Fame.
